It is truly unnerving to have a life-threatening illness. Having to worry about the next time I’ll be in the hospital or the next life experience I will miss out on. It can get difficult to bring the optimism back, but I work to make sure that there is always optimism. Over the summer, I found out that I was going to have my deepest desire granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and I did not have to fight to be extremely excited.

Join us as we make wishes come true one step at a time at the 3rd Annual Walk for Wishes 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, February 4, 2012. At last year’s event, more than 1,300 participants crossed the finish line in support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida and raised more than $100,000, enough to grant the heartfelt wishes of 20 courageous children. You can be a part of the magic this year - participate as an individual or get together with family, friends and colleagues to form a team.
