When asked what her one true wish was, 17-year-old Hayley, who battles Hodgkin’s lymphoma, didn’t hesitate. She knew she wanted her own horse that she could “love and take care of.” Hayley requested an American Paint Horse, and she found her new best friend in Bella, a palomino-colored mare. Having loved horses her whole life, she longed to have the opportunity to train a horse and show it at competitions. Now she can realize her dreams. On her wish day, Hayley received everything a horse owner could want and need. Among these gifts was a brand new brown leather saddle, lessons, supplies and accessories.
Hayley said, ““I have played many sports in my life but none have captivated me and held my attention like horseback riding. A rider and a horse share a bond forged through dedication, hard work, and caring for one another…I cherish the unique connection between a horse and an owner.” She was ecstatic to cultivate the friendship of a lifetime with her newfound companion.
