Four-year-old Ava began her dream journey from her Cape Coral home to Walt Disney World® to meet her favorite Disney characters. Her trip was magical in every way as she met so many of the princesses that she adores.
Ava, who battles life-threatening chromosomal abnormalities, received the royal treatment in Orlando. She and her family enjoyed all that the parks had to offer with front-of-the-line passes for all of the rides. It was so much fun that every moment was her favorite part.
At the end of each amazing day, the fun would continue at Give Kids The World Village, a village exclusive to wish families. Give Kids The World Village was an unforgettable experience for Ava. She enjoyed all that the Village’s amenities including swimming, horseback riding and the all-you-can-eat ice cream palace. On several occasions, Disney characters made special appearances at the Village and Ava was always excited to meet them. It was a truly an experience she will never forget.
In 1998, Ava’s father, who battles a hematologic disorder, experienced his wish come true when he went on a shopping spree. His wish continues to comfort him in the darkest times with his illness and now shares a special bond with Ava as they have both received wishes.
Ava’s wish gave her and her family a memorable experience to help them forget about all of the difficult times they have with both Ava and her father battling their life-threatening illnesses. Her time spent at Walt Disney World® created memories that she will remember for years to come, just like her dad’s memories of his wish experience continue to embrace him.
