Andrea is passionate about technology. When the time came to decide what she would wish for, she chose to visit the Google™ headquarters because working there is her dream.
When Andrea boarded the plane to California, the pilot surprised her with a visit to the cockpit to learn how the aircraft technology operated. While in San Francisco, she explored the sights, such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Lombard Street, the Financial District, Union Square and The Walt Disney Family Museum®.
Andrea’s adventures at Google began with a visit to Verily, an innovative company that creates tools to prevent, detect and manage disease. She asked the employees to keep her respiratory condition in mind in their research, so they can help other patients like her.
She also toured the Google Fit and Chrome™ offices, and after lunch at the most popular restaurant in the Googleplex, she rode in a self-driving car. Andrea was excited to receive a Moto 360 Smartwatch, Nexus™ 5 phone, a pair of Android™ socks, Google t-shirt, and more neat merchandise as gifts. She ended the day by taking pictures with her family at the Android Garden.
“Google is so much more than what everyone imagines. Googlers work hard to make people’s lives easier. For me, it’s a place of inspiration seeing everyone work as hard as they can to change the world with big smiles on their faces,” Andrea said. Andrea will use what she learned from Google and apply it to her future, as she plans on studying computer engineering in order to work on health mobile apps.
