Tristan has always been excited by the ocean, and he has a passion for helping out the creatures that fill it. It was only fitting that Tristan wished to be a marine biologist so he could continue to explore the big, blue sea and dive into more information about the sea life.
He made a splash in a custom-made sea creature costume, complete with a cape and cap. “I like squids, because they can squirt out ink,” Tristan said, proudly sporting his custom squid hat. “I was all excited I was coming, and I couldn’t wait, and I just started to squirt ink all over the place!” Tristan had a marine makeover too, where painters gave him gills and scales to match the swim creatures he was about to meet. “One big thing he’s always really wanted were the gills,” Tristan’s mom said about the makeover.
After getting decked out in his squid-octopus gear and makeup, Tristan had a whale of a time at the Eco-Discovery Center. He and his family explored the various exhibits and received a personal tour. He encountered some of the sea creatures that he loves so much, and like a true marine biologist, fed some of the wildlife that inhabit the marine ecosystems.
Tristan and his family were elated throughout the entire aquatic experience. His mother said, “It means a lot to me. I know that I would never be able to give him this experience if it wasn’t for Make-A-Wish. It’s being able to fulfill his dream.”
