Even before telling his wish granters that he wanted to meet Miranda Cosgrove from “iCarly,” 14-year-old Oscar told other kids that someday he would meet his favorite actress. Of course, the reaction was always one of laughter…until his wish came true.
Oscar and his family flew to Los Angeles. He toured the “iCarly” set and tried to calm his nerves. When they met, Miranda Cosgrove put her #1 fan at ease because she was just as down-to-earth and sweet as she is on television. She answered his questions and signed plenty of autographs.
Oscar presented Miranda with a thank you card, a t-shirt and a watch that he bought with his own money. In return, he received a bag of goodies to always remind him of his special day. As they said goodbye, Miranda gave him a hug (he won’t wash the shirt he was wearing during their meeting). Oscar didn’t want to leave California but he gave Miranda his contact information and invited her to visit if she is ever in Miami.
While in Los Angeles, he and his family went to Universal Studios Hollywood, drove down Rodeo Drive, saw the Hollywood sign and the Kodak Theatre and strolled along the Hollywood Walk of Fame. His mother said, “After all he’s been through, this is finally something rewarding for him. I was crying the whole time, but they were tears of joy.”
