Stanley, a 14-year-old who battles a hematologic disorder, wished to express himself through an extravagant shopping spree. Stanley has a tasteful sense of fashion that the Wellington Mall could easily accommodate.
His wish day kicked off when a limo arrived to escort him and his family to the mall in ultimate style. Stanley loved every moment as he browsed and purchased his most wanted items. Valentine, his volunteer wish granter, said, “He is truly a bright young man who knew exactly what he wanted.” Foot Locker, Dillard’s, and J.C. Penney, were the main spots where Stanley expanded his wardrobe and purchased his favorite item - Timberland boots. At the Apple Store, he purchased an iPad mini with Wi-Fi to stay connected with his friends and family. After a long day of shopping, it was time to sit down for a delicious meal at Saito’s Japanese Steakhouse where they savored the day and the memories it brought!
Every keepsake is a special memory for Stanley to remember his exciting wish day. After his wish came true Stanley writes, “The day when my wish came true was the best day of my life. I had so much fun - it felt like a dream, it felt so unreal to me.”
