According to her mother, 4-year-old Ka’mya of Boca Raton always has “big dreams in her little head.” So her wish to have modeling classes was no surprise. To Ka’mya, modeling isn’t just about pretty pictures; it’s about forgetting her troubles, having fun AND gaining confidence.
Every aspiring model needs a professional photography portfolio and our little model is no exception. After her first few modeling classes, she was ready to step out in front of the camera. Ka’mya received spending money to buy several trendy outfits. Then a professional makeup artist added a touch of glamour to highlight her natural beauty and it was time to strike a pose.
Before the photo shoot, Ka’mya, who lost her hair from chemotherapy treatments, wouldn’t take off her hat. Because of her modeling classes and praise from the professional photographer for her beauty and talent, she felt comfortable taking off her hat for some photos. Her newfound confidence has an even greater impact in her life.
Her mother said, “Ka’mya’s wish goes beyond anything that we expected. Before she would never remove that hat from her head ever, and now she has the confidence to not wear one at all. Instead her hats are hanging up in her room.”
Today, Ka’mya’s wish continues to bring her joy at her ongoing modeling classes. With meetings with talent scouts on the horizon, her future looks even brighter.
