For 10-year-old Benji who is living with a skeletal malformation, making a wish was a way to give back to his church community. His wish was to have a customized aquarium, built by Nat Geo WILD’s “Fish Tank Kings,” in his family’s church. When he’s not at school, Benji spends a lot of time hanging out with his friends at the church and he wanted to share his hobby with others.
Benji was invited to Living Color Aquariums, where he met the “Fish Tank Kings” and took a tour of the factory. It was fun to see just how much work goes into creating an aquatic masterpiece. The finished product was kept a surprise until his wish day. He was the guest of honor at a party with his loved ones and a fish-themed cake. When his big moment arrived, Benji was thrilled to see his 6-foot-long, 270-gallon fish tank unveiled. According to his mother, “It is just amazing. There are people willing to go out of their way to make a child's dream come true."
