Despite her battle with a genetic disorder, 9-year-old Grace has a sunny disposition that’s brighter than the Hawaiian sun. She wished to go to Hawaii to stay at Disney’s Aulani Resort and to learn about the culture, see a volcano and swim with dolphins.
Upon her arrival, Grace was greeted with a very special lei ceremony. She reached the grand entrance of the Disney’s Aulani Resort and was taken aback by the grandeur of the Polynesian paradise. She spent much time wading in the resort’s lazy river, hanging by the beautiful pool, and meeting her favorite Disney characters. After her action-packed days of exploring, she was able to kick back and relax in her luxurious hotel room. “Disney was so kind to us,” says Grace’s mother. “The room was gorgeous!”
Grace and her family spent time traveling the tropical island of Oahu. She was able to snorkel in Rainbow Reef, climb to the top of the Diamondhead volcano, and attend an authentic luau where she learned to hula dance. “I liked the water slides, going to see the Dole pineapple plantation, and visiting Pearl Harbor,” said Grace. “My wish was the best wish ever and really made me happy!”
The memories created in Hawaii will last Grace a lifetime. “My family and I cannot thank you enough for granting Grace’s wish,” says Grace’s mother. “After the tough year Grace has had, it was so wonderful to see her treated so special and have something that revolved solely around her.”
