To 5-year-old Este from Fort Myers, a trip to Orlando was more than character visits and theme park rides; it was a chance to forget about his doctor visits and hospital stays. With a liver transplant behind him, it was time for Este to focus on having the most fun he’s ever had.
He loved every moment and “everything was the best part.” Previously, he was afraid of the big rides but this time, he went on every ride that he met the height requirement including Expedition Everest, the biggest roller coaster in Walt Disney World® Resort. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios® Park, Este and his mother braved the Tower of Terror three times – he was laughing and she was screaming.
This newly-discovered thrill seeker slowed down just long enough to watch some entertaining shows and meet his favorite Disney characters and superheroes. While staying at Give Kids The World Village, a resort reserved solely for wish families, he ate plenty of ice cream and spent time with Mayor Clayton, the Village’s resident rabbit.
According to his mother, “This week was a real reward for all those tough times we went through. And it will be our best memories to share for the future challenges we may have to face.”
