Wishes are the cornerstone of the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Southern Florida and we look forward to seeing every wish come true. Wishes can be small or large, simple or elaborate, but they are all important.
Below are some wishes that we’ve been proud to have helped make come true!
“I wish to go on a Caribbean Cruise.”
Allison, Age 8
Eight-year-old Allison wished for a cruise that she could share with her parents and three siblings who help her stay strong in her battle with leukemia. What she got was a voyage to paradise aboard the Carnival Freedom with many extra special stops along the way. Read More

Rose, Age 4
Four-year-old Rose from Key West knows that fairy tales come true. Her dearest wish took her on a magical journey to Walt Disney World® Resort to become a princess, ride some roller coasters and meet her favorite Disney friends. Read More
“I wish to meet Florida Marlins shortstop Hanley Ramirez.”
Andres, Age 10
Ten-year-old Andres from Coral Gables is passionate about baseball and idolizes Hanley Ramirez of the Florida Marlins. On his own baseball team, he dons Hanley’s number (#2), plays his position (shortstop) and insists on wearing the same gear as the big leaguer. Read More
The Southern Florida chapter is celebrating 25 years of granting wishes to local children. We have grown from granting two wishes in 1983 to granting 527 wishes in fiscal year 2008.
