The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida announces that Brenda Yester has been appointed to chair its Board of Directors during their 2010 fiscal year. Yester, vice president of revenue management for Miami-based Carnival Cruise Lines (www.carnival.com), will help lead the nonprofit organization as it seeks to grant the wish of every medically-eligible child in its 13-county Florida territory. In May, Make-A-Wish partner Jewelers for Children held its inaugural Children’s Day to celebrate the children who benefit from its members’ charitable efforts. Jewelers for Children members shared their success stories with customers to spread the word.
