Eleven-year-old Tabitha wished to go to New York City so she could experience the Big Apple that she’s only seen in the movies.
In a “New York minute,” a limousine arrived to take her and her family to the airport and she felt like a movie star. On the plane, she met the pilot, got a lesson about how the flight instruments work and tried out the pilot’s hat and chair.
Tabitha took Manhattan with a huge smile – visiting Times Square, Fifth Avenue, the American Museum of Natural History and the Statue of Liberty via a ferry to Ellis Island. Another “beautiful and memorable” moment was taking a carriage ride through Central Park (just like in the movies). While there, Tabitha also saw a trifecta of Broadway shows – “MAMMA MIA!,” “Phantom of the Opera” and “Jersey Boys.”
“I wanted to thank you so much for Tabitha’s wonderful wish,” her mom wrote. “The limos were enormous and the drivers were all so kind. The seats to the shows were all excellent. The weather was even perfect! We had such a great time and will always remember our wish trip. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
