Five-year-old Rachel from Cape Coral struggles daily with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. More than anything, she wanted to have a Nintendo Wii. Not just because she likes to play video games, but also because it will help her stay active when she’s not feeling well enough to leave the house AND she can share in the fun with her brother.
On her wish day, Rachel was declared a princess. Her wish granters presented her with a beautiful gown, sparkling tiara and luxurious jewels. The pint-sized princess feasted on all her favorites – chicken nuggets, various kinds of Cheetos and a cupcake cake adorned with SpongeBob SquarePants. But the main attraction was still her ultimate Nintendo Wii package that was accompanied by a big screen television, a huge selection of games and accessories. Afterward, she settled in to get acquainted with her new Wii and huge selection of games.
Rachel’s mother said, “It was a happy day, a celebration about good things happening for her. It was something that our entire family needed – good medicine. As happy as she was and to see her wish come true, it was just awesome.”
