cornerstone-spotlight-jeverett-wilson.jpgWhen and how did you get involved with the Foundation?
Fortunately, the law firms I have been associated with in my 20 years of practice have always been supportive of charitable causes and have instilled a sense of community involvement in their attorneys and staff. Many have made the Make-A-Wish Foundation one of their favored charities. So it was only natural that when I made a conscious decision to become more involved that I chose to direct my time and energy toward the Foundation.

Why did you join the Cornerstone Society?
My philosophy is that when you care about something, you make a commitment to it. The Cornerstone Society allows me to do that in a convenient and affordable fashion.

How has the Make-A-Wish mission touched you?
Working with the health care industry and visiting hospitals all the time, I see many kids battling life-threatening medical conditions. I have seen firsthand the need and the difference that the Make-A-Wish Foundation makes in a child’s life. I just wanted to be a part of that. I have also seen the tireless effort and dedication that the Make-A-Wish staff has towards the mission. That has inspired my family to participate in any way that we can.  Cornerstone is a small piece of that.

If I could make a wish, I would…
Wish to have:  The time and wherewithal to do more to help others. Not many things compare to the feeling of giving.
Wish to be:  A great explorer.
Wish to go:   Sail around the world.  I am a sailor.  I crossed the Atlantic already.  It’s time to complete that journey.
Wish to meet:  President Obama.  I am a bit of a pop culture junkie.
