Over the past three years, the Cordis Corporation has donated $55,000. Because of their generosity, the lives of 11 local children and their families have been touched with hope, strength and joy. Here’s the story of one such child – 12-year-old Christopher who wished to go to Santo Domingo.

Christopher wished to go to Santo Domingo to visit his grandparents and explore his heritage. Once in Santo Domingo, his grandparents showered him with hugs and kisses. Christopher had a wonderful time sightseeing at historic places like the Alcazar de Colon Museum, The Museum of the Royal Houses and The National Palace. The best part was spending time with his grandparents and discovering where his mother grew up. Christopher’s mother said that he never stopped smiling. Memories of “the best trip” he’s ever taken still bring a smile to his face!
